Adoption Process:

TLC does not use application forms, so there is nothing you need to fill out prior to visiting the Shelter. The Shelter staff will talk to you about adopting an animal and how you will care for it. You will be approved or denied based on your response (we only want what is best for the animal and you and your family).

When you come in looking for a pet, you must bring your children and any other dogs you have that may be interacting with the new pet.
If you rent an apartment or own a condominium, you must bring a copy of your lease or your condominium bylaws stating that you are able to have pets on the premises.

 

Adoption Fee:

Dog and puppy adoptions are generally $150.00. There is a $25.00 spay/neuter fee for any dogs that have not been spayed or neutered prior to being adopted. We offer low cost spays/ and neutering for animals adopted from the shelter. Puppies available for adoption will have been given their first shots and first worming.
 
Cat and kitten adoptions are $50.00. In addition, there is a $25.00 spay/neuter fee for any animals that have not been spayed or neutered prior to being adopted. We offer low cost spays/ and neutering for animals adopted from the shelter. Kittens available for adoption will have been given their first shots and first worming.
Birds/rabbits/guinea pigs/ hamsters/ and other species are very nominal and the adoption fee also depends on if the animal comes with a cage or not.
